Columbia Running Club
Founded in 1968, the Columbia Running Club aims to bring together our large, friendly running community in the Capital City. Membership includes entry into the Tour de Columbia, group runs, discounts to local running stores, social events, and more.
Columbia Sailing Club
The Columbia Sailing Club, located on the eastern shores of Lake Murray, hosts an extensive list of sailing events and activities including community sailing, seamanship, boating safety programs, and a half dozen regattas per year.

Columbia Tennis League
The Columbia Tennis League is the local organization of the USTA and features organized competition throughout the year for adults, seniors and children.
The YMCA of Columbia includes six branches, serving Richland, Kershaw, Lancaster, Calhoun, and Orangeburg counties. The Downtown location has six floors of exercise equipment, aquatics, wellness classes, aquatics, summer camps, and childcare.
Girls on the Run of Columbia
A non-profit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. The highly structured program includes a 24 lesson program that culminates with a 5K run.
Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission
The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission operates several parks providing a vast recreational program for youths, adults, and senior citizens. These programs include wellness activities including therapeutic recreation, theater and other cultural experiences, summer camps, after school programs, field trips, and senior activities including card games, line dancing, and yoga.
Lake Murray Sailing Club
A private, family-oriented sailing club of boat owners located on Lake Murray. LMSC has an active racing schedule, hosts cruising events and instructional programs for men, women, and youth.
Lake Murray Volleyball Club - Irmo - middle and high school
Lake Murray Volleyball Club is a girls and boys junior volleyball program to support and promote the sport of volleyball after the high school and middle school seasons have ended.

The Lexington Area Tennis Association (LATA) promotes the physical, social and health benefits of the game of tennis to all residents of Lexington County through the promotion of tennis as the game of a lifetime.
Lexington County Girls Soccer Association
The Lexington County Girls Soccer Association serves girls in and around Lexington County and strives to provide a safe and positive environment where children can learn sportsmanship and cooperation while establishing a sense of self esteem and well-being.

With three branches around Columbia, LCRAC offers a variety of services for seniors to enhance the lives of older adults through structured programs including senior fitness, senior athletics, meals on wheels, and home care. LCRAC also has a variety of programs geared toward adults and youths including athletics, after school programs, and summer camps.
Lexington County Soccer Club
Lexington youth soccer league offering recreational and academy teams which compete statewide or regionally. The soccer club is an affiliate of Liverpool FC.

With dozens of facilities across the county, the recreation commission offers a diverse catalog of recreational activities including adaptive recreation for children and adults with physical and intellectual challenges including a 3-week long summer camp, adult activity center, after school programs, athletics, aquatics, and summer camps for youths.
