Two Days Left to Save the SC Picture Project:  Only $4,581 to Go!

Dear SCIWAY Friends,

In just over five weeks, the people of South Carolina have raised $15,067 to save the South Carolina Picture Project.

This important online archive of South Carolina images and information, housed at SCIWAY.net, currently consists of 2,350 landmarks and 7,200 photos and paintings. The collection is the best and largest resource of its kind in the state.

"Palmetto Moon," contributed by Benton Henry of Latta,
is just one of many beautiful photos in the SC Picture Project.

As we announced earlier this month, the SC Picture Project unexpectedly lost its private funding. That is why we are working so hard to raise funds. If we can raise just $4,581 by our deadline tomorrow night, we can stay up-and-running another six months.

This would allow us the time we need to obtain 501(c)(3) status and then secure sponsorships so we can continue documenting South Carolina's history and culture for years to come.

If you can help – even with a contribution of just $15 or $20 – you will be helping to preserve a South Carolina resource that is not just beautiful but deeply valuable to our state and her citizens. In fact, the SC Picture Project is used by over 1,200,000 people a year!

Can you add your name to the list of over 180 donors who have contributed to the South Carolina Picture Project so far? You will never know how much we appreciate it, and don't forget – if you can contribute $65 or more, you will receive one of these incredible signed prints as our way of saying thanks.
