This striking home in downtown Dillon was built in 1903 and boasts 34 columns, lending to its memorable name. The Neoclassical manse greets guests with two-story paired Doric columns, and a series of paired one-story Doric columns surrounds the side porches. The facade is symmetrical, in keeping with the Neoclassical style, including the double-paneled entrance door, transom window, and sidelights (windows flanking the door).
In recent years the home was purchased and completely restored. Today The Columns is an elegant bed-and-breakfast featuring five guest rooms, each with a fireplace and antique furnishings.
