This Barnwell home was built in 1891 for Ben C. Ford. The 1920 United States census lists Ford as a carpenter, so it is likely that he built the home himself. Though it has been restored over the years and is now equipped with modern conveniences, the Ford House maintains its original appearance.
We would like to make this page better. Do you have any information about the Ford House that you can add? If so, please send it to the South Carolina Picture Project. Thank you!
