*Visitation estimates for 1994 to 1997 were revised downward by the U.S. Travel Data Center due to confusion in their national survey over "travel party size" and "# of household members traveling." Note that the sum of the regional totals exceeds the statewide total due to the 7% of travelers in 1997 visiting multiple S.C. destinations on a trip. Also there is a margin of error associated with the reported statistics due to sampling variability inherent in the survey process.
