Contest Overview

Over the next three weeks, SCIway.net will host a Logo Design Contest. If we use your design on our site, we will give you $500.

The sky is the limit in terms of what you create, but your design should clearly suggest South Carolina. SCIway.net is an acronym for the South Carolina Information Highway, but our name can be confusing. We want people who visit our site to understand immediately that this is their resource for everything SC!

Only one caveat – despite our name, please do not incorporate a road or highway theme in your design! ;-)

Rules of Entry

• Logo designs must include both our name (SCIway.net) and our tagline (South Carolina Information Highway).
  
  
• SCIway.net should be spelled in one of the following four ways:
  
  All lower-case letters (sciway.net)
  All capital letters (SCIWAY.NET)
  A capital S and a capital C (SCiway.net)
  A capital S, a capital C, and a capital I (SCIway.net)
  
  
• Logo size can be up to 506 pixels wide by 76 pixels high. However, it does not necessarily need to occupy this entire space. The logo should fit well within the surrounding page.
  
  
• All aspects of your design must be original. You should not use clip art or infringe upon any copyrighted material.
  
  
• The three photos at the top of this page will rotate, as will the buttons in the right margin. Please bear in mind that the logo should work well independently of the colors currently in place on this page.
  
  
• Logo designs should be submitted in gif or jpg format. Please do not submit animated files.
  
  
• One of SCIway's goals is to load quickly. Please optimize your image, as file size will be considered when selecting the winning entry.
  
  
• You may enter as many logo designs as you'd like. Please send questions and entries to service@sciway.net.
  
  
• Contest deadline is June 26, 2007 at noon.
