San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas is where the remains of the Alamo defenders are kept (although their authenticity has been questioned). The story of San Fernando starts in 1731, when settlers arrived in San Antonio to start a village. In 1987, Pope John Paul II visited the cathedral during his visit to the US.
