Hopkins – Richland County, South Carolina
South Carolina | SC Picture Project | Richland County Photos | Hopkins
This historical marker and welcome sign mark the area where there was once a thriving business hub for the township of Hopkins, located in Richland County. Up until the 1930’s, the Hopkins community was thriving with general stores, gin mills, industries, residences, a town hall, a rail depot, and a telegraph office.
SCIWAY thanks D.S. Brooks of Hopkins for submitting this information and picture he took in September 2010.
Hopkins Add Info and More Photos
The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State and create a permanent digital repository for our cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. We invite you to add additional pictures (paintings, photos, etc) of Hopkins, and we also invite you to add info, history, stories, and travel tips. Together, we hope to build one of the best and most loved SC resources in the world!
