St. John’s United Methodist Church – Woodford, South Carolina

South Carolina  |  SC Picture Project  |  Orangeburg County Photos  |  St. John’s United Methodist Church

The small community of Woodford was founded in 1891, and St. John’s Methodist Episcopal Church was built the following year. St. John’s, now a part of the United Methodist Church, was remodeled in 1933 with money raised from 10 acres of cotton planted, harvested, and sold by its members. St. John’s still serves parishioners in rural Orangeburg County.

St. John’s United Methodist Church – Add Info and More Photos

The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State and create a permanent digital repository for our cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. We invite you to add additional pictures (paintings, photos, etc) of St. John’s United Methodist Church, and we also invite you to add info, history, stories, and travel tips. Together, we hope to build one of the best and most loved SC resources in the world!
