Simply put, Old Edgefield Grill is delicious! Converted from a beautiful turn-of-the-century home, this restaurant offers Southern dining at its finest. You can sit on the quiet front porch under the shade of two giant magnolias or you can choose from three small, elegantly-appointed dining rooms inside.
Chef Sean Alexander Wight specializes in seasonal menus that reflect South Carolina’s local heritage. Many of his dishes feature grits made at Adluh Mills in Columbia. The restaurant also supports local growers such as Titan Farms in nearby Ridge Spring.
The food, service, and ambiance are perfect, and we highly recommend this relaxing repast. (Lunch, at least, provides many options for vegetarians as well.) Whatever you do, be sure to try the pecan pie! Along with Hominy Grill in Charleston, we rate it among the best in the state.
