Wappoo Creek – Charleston, South Carolina

South Carolina  |  SC Picture Project  |  Charleston County Photos  |  Wappoo Creek

Popular for boating, Wappoo Creek winds between James Island and West Ashley, connecting the Ashley and the Stono Rivers. Watching the waterfront houses and docks slip away into the distance is a relaxing way to spend time on any number of South Carolina‘s creeks, sounds, lakes, or rivers.

Wappoo Creek – Add Info and More Photos

The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State and create a permanent digital repository for our cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. We invite you to add additional pictures (paintings, photos, etc) of Wappoo Creek, and we also invite you to add info, history, stories, and travel tips. Together, we hope to build one of the best and most loved SC resources in the world!

I believe this may be the cut mariners call Hell’s Gate due to the tremendous current which runs with the tides.
