I lived at Ft. Moultrie as a teenager in the 40s (class of ’44 at Moultrie HS). The first ‘old bridge’ is where I learned to drive as well as the beach at the Isle of Palms. I enjoyed following the construction of this magnificent new one, and cried seeing the old one demolished. At 80+ if I could take one more trip, it would be to see it and even hike it! I really do appreciate the photos that so many have taken and put on line. I look at them often. Thanks.
