The Jenkins Institute for Children is a haven for orphaned or abandoned children in need. Most of its residents are sent from the Department of Social Services, and the institute provides a safe, structured environment for girls ages 11-21.
Located along the beautiful Ashley River, the institute’s campus includes an administration building, a training facility, a dormitory, a storage warehouse, and even a band stand.
The community has come together over the years to maintain and improve Jenkins’ property and grounds. Charitable contributions and volunteers play a huge role in the institute’s continued success.
Jenkins Institute is always in need of support. You can help by donating materials, money, or your time.
