Intracoastal Waterway – McClellanville, South Carolina

South Carolina  |  SC Picture Project  |  Charleston County Photos  |  Intracoastal Waterway

The Intracoastal Waterway extends along the entire coast of South Carolina. The below picture was taken in Charleston County near the small town of McClellanville. As the sailboat in the background, multiple docks dotting the shoreline, and the parade of jet skis in the picture suggest, water sports are supreme for those who live in and visit coastal South Carolina. If you love to swim, boat, ski or fish, you’ll find yourself in paradise here.

This image also shows the Intracoastal Waterway. It was taken just north of Jeremy Creek. Jeremy Creek leads into Leland Marina, McClellanville’s only marina. It is owned by McClellanville’s mayor, Rutledge B. Leland, III.

Intracoastal Waterway – Add Info and More Photos

The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State and create a permanent digital repository for our cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. We invite you to add additional pictures (paintings, photos, etc) of Intracoastal Waterway, and we also invite you to add info, history, stories, and travel tips. Together, we hope to build one of the best and most loved SC resources in the world!
