Edisto Palmetto Tree – Charleston, South Carolina
South Carolina | SC Picture Project | Charleston County Photos | Edisto Palmetto Tree
A lone palmetto tree on Edisto Island appears to lean toward the sea. Edisto is named for its first known inhabitants, the Edisto Indians. Today the island has beach homes, vacation rentals, and a state park, but much of the 68 square-mile sea island is undeveloped and Edisto’s natural beauty is still relatively unspoiled.
Edisto Palmetto Tree Add Info and More Photos
The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State and create a permanent digital repository for our cultural landmarks and natural landscapes. We invite you to add additional pictures (paintings, photos, etc) of Edisto Palmetto Tree, and we also invite you to add info, history, stories, and travel tips. Together, we hope to build one of the best and most loved SC resources in the world!
