The historic Blackville Methodist Church in Barnwell County dates back to the mid 1800s. The current foundation of the church is the original foundation from the first building, which was destroyed by a fire in 1887.

Union troops used the church to store their horses during the Civil War. This simple yet beautiful church is part of Blackville’s Heritage Trail.
