Located at the junction of US 278 and SC 64, the City of Barnwell straddles the South Carolina regional divide between the Midlands and the Lowcountry.

The sundial, replicated on the city’s welcome sign, has stood on the county courthouse grounds for over 150 years and gives accurate time. It is quite possibly the only town clock of its kind anywhere.

When you see the sundial, you know you’re in Barnwell!
