This unusual town clock in Barnwell is a sundial and tells the time by the angle of the sun in the sky. It is quite possibly one of the only of its kind, and has been accurately giving residents the time, within two minutes of standard time, for over 150 years. The vertical sundial is located on the Barnwell County Courthouse grounds, which is close to the famous Barnwell Confederate Memorial.
