Mizpah Church – Ulmer, South Carolina

The Mizpah Methodist Church, built in 1856, was originally part of the Bamberg County settlement of Buford’s Bridge. In 1865, it was the only building left intact and unharmed by Federal troops as they passed through on their way to Columbia.

Today, the town closest to Mizpah Church is Olar. The church still has an active congregation and services are held regularly.
