Sycamore Post Office – Allendale County, South Carolina

The small town of Sycamore is located just west of the town of Allendale, at the junction of US 321 and SC 641. The community is named after the Sycamore Plantation, which was established here in the 1850s by William Ransome Barker.

Nena Barnett of Simpsonville took this picture in July 2010. She says that “as we were traveling the back roads of South Carolina we came across this cute little post office. It was in a rural neighborhood, and even though it looks like a doll house, it is a functioning post office.”
