Ashley Cook of Columbia took this photo of a sunflower field near Anderson while on a roadtrip on the SC Heritage Corridor Nature Route in September 2008. It was taken on SC 187.
Ashley writes: "My husband and I were traveling the SC Heritage Corridor Nature Route when we came upon this sunflower field. It was just there, all of a sudden, as we crested a hill. Without saying a word he slowed to a stop so that I could take a picture. They seem to be all posing, in a way. It's one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in this, or any, state."
