This image shows the loading dock at the Kingstree train depot. To the right you can see the railway tracks. The depot remains in active use, and Kingstree is a perfect day trip from Charleston, Florence, Dillon, or Yemassee. Amtrak's Palmetto line is in excellent repair, with large, comfortable seats and a cafe where you can get a hot cup of coffee, sandwiches, and dessert.
