In this photograph, the fog blankets downtown Kingstree, with two church towers silhouetted against a hazy sun. This scene was shot by Michaele Duke of Greeleyville. The two churches in the picture are Kingstree First Baptist and Williamsburg Presbyterian.
Michaele describes how she came upon this scene: "I have a bad habit of looking at everything but the road while doing my job, so any time the weather decides to 'perform a new act', I am craning my neck over the steering wheel searching for that funky, odd or whimsical shot. I had previously seen this angle of view of the Kingstree First Baptist and Williamsburg Presbyterian churches in daylight and remembered it when the fog blanketed our area. My first images didn't include the street lamp but as I moved to the side of the Presbyterian church the lamp became part of the composition and turned out to be my favorite."
