Historic Camden, South Carolina – Palisade Wall
|
A portion of wood palisade has been recreated at Historic Camden, a 107-acre outdoor museum on the site of early Camden. During the Revolutionary War, the British occupied the town in 1780-1781, building fortifications and using Camden's strategic position to control South Carolina's backcountry.
