This photo was taken by J. William Gobbel of Conway at the Waccatee Zoo on the Intracoastal Waterway near Socastee in May 2008. It was submitted as an entry in the Winyah Rivers Foundation's first ever photo contest, promoting the beauty of the area's rivers, and won Best of Show.
This picture represents best how wildlife is so much like the human race when it comes to having young children and watching over them.
