Diane describes her photo: "Charleston's quiet back streets are a haven away from the crowded tourist haunts. Historic public buildings and residences are each unique, but the pink stucco house pictured here has a special story. Notice the concave shaped tiles. They are called 'thigh tiles' because each clay tile was shaped over a male worker's thighs to give them a uniform shape."
