Elizabeth Gurley of Charleston took this picture near Sheldon in September 2007 on her way home from a trip to Florida.
She writes: "Every year I commute from Charleston to Florida for various familial obligations. This section of Highway 17 near Sheldon, SC boasts beautiful coastal wildwood, and always is a welcome reminder that I am nearly home."
Stoney Creek is a small tributary off of the Pocotaligo River and is located near the Coosawhatchie River (Thank you to Barry Gooch for providing us with the location!).
