Bordering Noisette Creek at the northern edge of the Riverfront Park in North Charleston, this stretch of marsh was once a fairway on the old golf course of the former Charleston Navy Yard. It has been almost 13 years since the base closed, and this photo demonstrates how quickly nature regains control, even over the highly manicured landscape of a golf course.
