Charleston, South Carolina – Arthur Ravenel Bridge at Night
|
This stunning night shot of the Arthur Ravenel bridge was taken by Barry Gooch of Charleston in October 2005. The Ravenel bridge officially opened on July 16, 2005, after about 4 years of construction. In the photo above, the characteristic structure of the old Cooper River bridge is still visible, as it had not been completely taken apart yet.
Barry writes: "This photo of the Ravenel bridge was taken from Magnolia cemetery. It was a flood tide and the reflection of the bridge on the water caught my eye. I doubt many people have seen the bridge from this angle. The backside of Magnolia cemetery is not a particularly popular location at night."
