East Montague Avenue, as the historic heart of North Charleston, has experienced a renaissance over the past couple of years. The positive energy brought by such large-scale projects as Noisette is having a lasting effect on the Park Circle neighborhood. Taking into account social and environmental concerns has attracted quite a number of eco-friendly businesses on the old Navy base. The conversion of the industrial legacy of the area into a diverse and sustainable community is a process that has only just begun.
The strip of East Montague in Park Circle is now home to EVO Pizzeria, Madra Rua Irish Pub, and many other businesses. A few steps away, the Half Moon Outfitters warehouse is the first LEED Platinum building in South Carolina.
