Diane describes her photo by saying, "The Ashley River plantation known as Middleton Place was photographed on a summer afternoon in 2005. Only the 'Gentlemen's Quarters' remains standing at Middleton Place after Union troops burned the main house and an earthquake destroyed the remains. But the blue of a summer sky and the towering clouds will always remain."
