This painting of our beloved marshlands was executed by Hillary Doggart-Greer of Columbia in September 2007.
Hillary writes: "The wild marshes of South Carolina were inspiration for this piece. While working as a contract archaeologist on the coasts of Beaufort, I became enchanted with the marshlands there. On a clear day they seem to go on forever. There is a peace in this work that makes me wistful for the smell of salty air."
