A venerable oak limb frames the house at Loch Dhu Plantation in this photo taken by Barry Gooch of Charleston in February 2008. Loch Dhu Plantation is on the shores of Lake Marion, near the town of Cross. A portion of the original property was submerged when Lake Marion was created in the early 1940s.
