Fields of muscadine vines flank the entryway to Irvin House Vineyards. Here, the ripe fruit hangs heavy on the vines and visitors are invited to pick their own grapes. These fields are surrounded by a tall fence to prevent deer and other animals from eating the fruit before it can be harvested.
