The town clock in Hampton has sat in the middle of town since it was built in 1948. Marie Ellis of Hampton submitted this photo. She writes: "The Hampton town clock, a joint project of the Loan and Exchange Bank (now Palmetto State Bank) and the town of Hampton, was constructed in October 1948. The clock's four 30-inch faces set atop a 20-foot high bronze structure in the middle of historic Lee Avenue. The clock's works have been recently repaired and the clock is in working order."
