This house along the Pee Dee River, south of Chapel Creek, is on land that was once part of the Guendalos Plantation.

Around the time of the Civil War, the property was owned by the Allston family, who is the same family that owned Brookgreen Plantation. Over the years, the property has changed hands, but it is still locally owned.
