Esther Fogle of Easley took this shot of the Dirleton Plantation house on a trip down the Pee Dee River in October 2008.
She writes: "While visiting Surfside Beach this October, my husband and I rode down to Georgetown to take Cap'n Rod's Lowcountry Plantation Tour. This is one of the many plantation houses we saw along with old rice fields and canals. Cap'n Rod's three-hour tour is a most enjoyable SC history lesson."
