This famous avenue at Boone Hall Plantation stretches three-quarters of a mile long. It is lined by about 90 oaks. Here, they stand guard as the springtime sun filters through the draping Spanish moss. Together with brillant azaleas, they create a most elegant and enchanting scene.

Live oaks are prevalent along the South Carolina coast and have, for centuries, been an essential part of the Southern landscape.
Boone Hall is located just a few miles north of Charleston in the town of Mount Pleasant.
