This picture taken above downtown Charleston shows the Battery and White Point Gardens, in an interesting view that not many of us get to experience. It was photographed from a helicopter in 1980 by Don Burbidge of Charleston.

Don describes the scene for us: "I just wanted to capture a picture of Charleston that would let the viewer know what the "Holy City" is all about and what beauty we have here along with our rich history."
