Summerville Hotels: A Local's Guide
Summerville is located just 25 miles north of Charleston and offers a variety of accommodations, including one of South Carolina's two 5-star hotels. The town is also just a short drive from several famous Charleston plantations and gardens.Nicknamed "The Flower Town in the Pines," this small town has a profusion of public and private gardens and is especially beautiful in the spring when the azaleas bloom. While its proximity to historic downtown Charleston is definitely a plus, Summerville's own downtown should not be overlooked. Summerville also hosts several annual events including the Flowertown Festival and Sculpture in the South, both of which are held in popular Azalea Park.
