Summerville Hotels: A Local's Guide

Summerville is located just 25 miles north of Charleston and offers a variety of accommodations, including one of South Carolina's two 5-star hotels. The town is also just a short drive from several famous Charleston plantations and gardens.

Nicknamed "The Flower Town in the Pines," this small town has a profusion of public and private gardens and is especially beautiful in the spring when the azaleas bloom. While its proximity to historic downtown Charleston is definitely a plus, Summerville's own downtown should not be overlooked. Here you'll find quaint streets lined with antique stores, specialty shops, and unique restaurants.

Summerville also hosts several annual events including the Flowertown Festival and Sculpture in the South, both of which are held in popular Azalea Park.
