Santee Hotels: A Local's Guide
Santee is located in central South Carolina, just west of I-95 on the western bank of Lake Marion. It's about 23 miles east of Orangeburg and 23 miles west of Manning.Once a hub for commerce and agriculture, Santee is now known for its numerous recreational opportunities (including some of the area's best golf) and has become a popular resort and retirement location.
Nestled on the shores of Lake Marion, Santee State Park is a sportsman's paradise. This 2,496-acre park is known for its abundance of catfish and bass and hosts several fishing tournaments throughout the year. The nearby Palmetto Trail provides the perfect spot for hiking and biking.
There's even something for shopaholics as the Santee Outlets boast several designer and brand name outlet stores.
