North Myrtle Beach Hotels: A Local's Guide
As the name suggests, North Myrtle Beach hotels are located just north (about 10 miles) of Myrtle Beach hotels. Bordered by Little River to the north, North Myrtle Beach is slightly smaller and more family-oriented than Myrtle Beach, but it boasts comparable attractions including award-winning restaurants, shopping, and golf.Most North Myrtle Beach hotels can be grouped into two categories: large oceanfront resorts on Ocean Boulevard and smaller hotels along US 17. Many of these resorts make it hard to leave, offering bars and restaurants of their own – some even have their own mini waterparks!
Hotels along US 17 are usually much cheaper and still just minutes from the beach. They're also closer to Barefoot Landing, one of the most popular spots in North Myrtle Beach.
