Manning Hotels: A Local's Guide
Manning is located along I-95 in eastern South Carolina, midway between Georgetown and Columbia. It's about 19 miles south of Sumter and 17 miles east of beautiful Lake Marion.Downtown Manning boasts a large historic district, the highlight of which is the Clarendon County Courthouse. It also offers a good selection of shops and restaurants – there's even a farmers market here every Saturday. Nature lovers should check out nearby Pocotaligo Park, which features a 1,296-foot boardwalk that winds through the peaceful Pocotaligo Swamp.
If you're visiting Manning in the spring, try to plan your trip around the annual Striped Bass Festival, which features food, live entertainment, a parade, and golf and fishing tournaments.
