Kingstree Hotels: A Local's Guide

Kingstree is located in the eastern part of South Carolina, on Highway 52 about halfway between Florence and Charleston. The Black River gently flows on the western side of Kingstree.

Kingstree is the seat of Williamsburg County and is located in the eastern part of South Carolina on US 52 about halfway between Florence and Charleston.

Kingstree was originally known as Williamsburgh Township, founded in 1732. The area was settled as an effort to provide a buffer between Native Americans and white colonists along the coast.
