Florence Hotels: A Local's Guide
Florence is located in the heart of South Carolina's Pee Dee region at the intersection of I-95 and I-20. It's about 1.5 hours (depending on traffic) from Myrtle Beach and is home to both Francis Marion University and Florence-Darlington Technical College.Historic downtown Florence offers a great selection of museums, shops, and restaurants. You can even catch a Broadway show at the Florence Little Theatre or the FMU Performing Arts Center!
Located just outside the downtown area, the Florence Civic Center is the entertainment hub of the Pee Dee region and features some of the state's biggest events. The city also boasts a number of beautiful parks, including the Freedom Florence Recreational Complex.
