Dillon Hotels: A Local's Guide
Dillon is located along I-95 in northwestern South Carolina, about 19 miles north of Marion and just six miles below the North Carolina border. It is home to the Dillon Motor Speedway and the aptly-named South of the Border entertainment complex, one of South Carolina's most famous – or infamous – landmarks. Here you'll find an extremely unique selection of restaurants, gift shops, and other attractions, including a small amusement park that works at least half of the time.Dillon's downtown historic district is anchored by the Dillon County Courthouse. (Nearby Latta also features a small but lovely historic district.) Nature lovers and anglers will enjoy being near the Little Pee Dee River and the Little Pee Dee State Park, which features hiking trails, campgrounds, and a 54-acre lake stocked with bass, and catfish.
