South Carolina  Chesterfield County Ruby
Ruby is located in Chesterfield County midway between Chesterfield and Mount Croghan on SC 9.
In 1902, tracks for the Cheraw & Lancaster Railroad reached Ruby. The presence of the railroad helped the community to grow and later that year town leaders filed to incorporate as a town. Today, Ruby hosts the annual Jewel City Jubilee.
