Lake Moultrie, South Carolina
South Carolina Berkeley County Lake Moultrie
Lake Moultrie was created, along with Lake Marion, in the early 1940s by the Santee Cooper Project. It covers about 60,000 acres in Berkeley County. The lake is named for SC governor and Revolutionary War general William Moultrie. Both lakes are famous for their fish population which has produced several world record winners.
Goose Creek is the most populated city in Berkeley County. Here is a map of the Goose Creek area.
