Estill, South Carolina
South Carolina Hampton County Estill
Estill is located in the southwestern section of Hampton County at the intersection of US 321 and SC 3.
Early in the 20th century, what is now Estill was known as Lawtonville. Mr. William Cuyler Johnson donated 50 acres of his land plus a 100-foot right-of-way to the Southbound Railroad for their depot and station. The name of the town was changed to Estill in honor of Colonel James Estill, President of a development company that worked closely with Southbound.
Hampton is the largest city near Varnville. Here is a map of the Hampton area.
